Membership
The Potters' Guild is a professional association, a retail gallery, and a working studio devoted to educating the public about the ceramic arts. Members must be working potters from the San Diego area, and are required to handle sales and demonstrate their craft in the gallery on a rotating basis. Most members currently do gallery duty about once a month. Each year, members are required to serve on at least one committee which assists with all aspects of the Guild's operations. Membership dues are currently $75 annually.
Members are entitled to display work for sale in the gallery and to participate in the Guild's semiannual sales. Members also have free access to the Guild's studio facility and are entitled to use the Guild's electric and gas kilns for a fee.
The Potters' Guild juries in new members on a yearly basis, space permitting. Jurying usually occurs in the Spring.
