Welcome to the San Diego Potters' Guild

The guild is a juried membership of more than 40 potters from San Diego, California. We are located in Balboa Park's historic Village Arts Center, at Studio 29, where members make and sell their creations directly to the public.
The gallery features a large and varied display of work from all our members and is refreshed periodically. The studio offers also a working space for our members. Every day, one of the guild members can be found working at the wheel, handbuilding, or preparing for a firing. We invite you to come visit us and discover one of the best spots for ceramic work in San Diego! |

The San Diego Potters' Guild will be hosting open studios on July 11th, 18th, and 19th in conjunction with HANDWORK2026! Stop by Studio 29 in Village Arts Center to meet members of the guild, watch live demonstrations, shop handmade ceramics, and try hands-on workshops. We will have several guild members present to answer questions and demonstrate various techniques.
These events are all in part of SoCAL SoCRAFT Summer, in conjunction with HANDWORK2026. Several Participants all around San Diego will be hosting craft-based events each weekend in July. Enjoy exhibitions, tours, workshops, demonstrations, and shop artisan crafts at the most vibrant craft spots in the region.

In the GalleryEvery two months the central display in the gallery showcases work from our members on a specific theme.
Shades of Blue May 23, 2026 - July 25, 2026 Shades of Blue brings together our members in a celebration of the many moods of a single color. From oceanic depths to pale sky-washed tones, each piece reveals how blue can shift from calm to electric, intimate to expansive. The exhibition invites viewers to linger in this cool spectrum and discover how one hue can hold so many stories. Featured work by Doug Snider |
