Twice a year—on the second full weekend in June and again in November—the San Diego Potters’ Guild transforms the entire Spanish Village patio into a vibrant open‑air gallery. More than forty potters roll in fresh work from their home studios, filling the space with color, texture, and the energy of a community that lives and breathes clay.
The Spring Show runs from 10am to 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday, offering visitors the chance to wander from table to table, discover brand‑new pieces, and meet the artists who made them. It’s one of the rare moments when you can talk directly with Guild members about their techniques, inspirations, and firing adventures—an experience as unique as the work on display.

Art of the Bowl celebrates one of ceramics’ most timeless and expressive forms by our members. Each piece reveals a unique dialogue between form, surface, and intention - inviting visitors to experience how a simple vessel can hold story, gesture, and imagination.

The San Diego Potters’ Guild is delighted to present its newest exhibition at the Coronado Public Library: Many Hands, One Passion. This special show celebrates the artistry and imagination of our members, highlighting the remarkable range of approaches, techniques, and voices within our community. 

From functional ware to sculptural forms, each piece reflects the unique vision of its maker while collectively affirming our shared devotion to the ceramic arts. Visitors will encounter an inspiring spectrum of styles—earthy and refined, playful and contemplative, traditional and experimental—all united by the common thread of clay.

We invite you to join us at the Coronado Public Library to experience this vibrant gathering of talent. Whether you are a longtime collector, a fellow artist, or simply curious about the possibilities of clay, Many Hands, One Passion offers something to spark your imagination and enrich your sense of community.
