I started to make pots in High School (Poway 1992). I signed up for drawing and painting, but it was full. My counselor put me in ceramics, I had never heard of it, she said I would like it. At the end of the year I was hooked. Now at the end of every day I’m exhausted. I now teach high school ceramics to students who signed up for other classes and a few who asked for it (El Cajon Valley H.S. 2001-present). Sometime between high school and now, making pots turned into my lifestyle. The pots I make surround me all the time. Joining the San Diego Potters Guild recently has been great.
