Bernie found her love of clay after a 30 year career teaching in the field of special education. Her carved pieces add texture and interest and are one of a kind. She often finds her inspiration in the nuances of nature. Her pieces are created with love and attention to detail. Bernie’s pottery is made with the idea that it will be a part of every day use and enjoyment. She is always experimenting with form and surface decorations, enjoying the meditation of wheel throwing and the endless possibilities of hand-building. She believes that using items, which are distinctive and created with purpose will enhance your environment and bring pleasure to those who use them.
