My introduction to ceramics began in 1985 at Orange Coast College, by the end of that first year I had found my career path. In 1991 I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts from CSULB and a Masters of Fine Arts from CSUF in 1997. I have been teaching ceramics at Vista High School since 1997.
“My work is inspired from the ocean and mountain environments that I enjoy. Each piece contains a rich landscape of texture and color variations reminiscent of what you will find in the natural world. I am constantly striving to make work that pushes what is possible with form, surface and glaze, so that I and my audience can emotionally connect with my pieces.” I do custom orders for clients including, vessel sinks for bathroom remodels. Also I have a once a year home sale in Vista, (early November) which raises funds for the Ceramics program at Vista High. |
