The joy of ceramics is in the details. After working with clay for over 20 years, it can still surprise me.
Teapots are my favorite form. It's always exciting to finish a teapot with a hand woven handle. Sometimes I try three or four variations before finding one that balances the piece. The whole creative process continues to entice me. Cup, bowl, tray comes with its own character, as though the clay speaks. |
